Emptyvessel, which announced itself in March and is home to the creators of DOOM, Call of Duty and Last of Us, has unveiled its debut project, the multiplayer team first-person shooter Defect in a cyberpunk setting on Unreal Engine 5.
In humanity’s last city, an authoritarian AI called the System rules the roost, controlling a police force that is opposed by gangs. Players will be offered matches for four teams of four with various objectives such as smuggling weapons, assassinating targets, and arresting suspects, as well as a co-op mode. In Steam Only English language is indicated.
Defect will be released on PC (Steam), the release date has not yet been announced.
