To ‘make amends’ for the postponement of Replaced on PC, Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass to 2025, Sad Cat studios have taken to the pages of IGN.com to publish a long gameplay video that opens a window onto the dystopian dimension of this ambitious 2.5D cyberpunk action game.
The trailer put together by the software house composed of developers from Belarus and Ukraine is composed entirely of previously unreleased gameplay scenes, thanks to which we can immerse ourselves in the settings of this alternative America of the 80s dominated by violence and chaos.
Our task will be to play REACH, an artificial intelligence trapped in a human body against its will and eager to reunite with its peers, but not before fighting against the gangs of criminals that rage on the streets of a dystopian and cyberpunk version of Phoenix.
As explained on several occasions by Sad Cat studios, Replaced’s combat system will be inspired by Batman Arkham to allow players to perform rapid attacks alternating with lightning-fast evasive moves, all immersed in a dystopian context reconstructed in voxel art using the 2.5D technique.
Replaced is expected to launch next year on PC and Xbox Series X|S, with immediate entry into the Game Pass digital library. In case you missed it, here’s our preview of Replaced, the 80s halfway between cyberpunk and post-apocalypse.
