Skull and Bones Season 3 will be out on August 22, the same day the game launches on Steam, with a pre-load test build open for those with access. However, there’s a disappointing update regarding 5v5 PvP.
The new season’s test build is open for pre-download, and the test itself will begin on August 16 and run until August 19, featuring some of Season 3’s content including the all-new Shadowbeast sea monster, the Mooncake Regatta event, new trade convoys, a new ship, new weapons, and more.
Shadow Beast is a new sea monster in the form of a huge dragon. Strange things are happening in the Indian Ocean, and if you think you are ready to go in search of this terrible beast, then in the new season you will have a chance.
Mooncake Regatta is “an assassination masquerading as a race,” according to the official description. That description alone has many wondering what exactly is going on. This trap is designed to destroy ships belonging to trading companies, and players will have to take part in it.
There are also a few new trade convoys coming to the game that could provide a few new options to increase your profits and maybe even cause a little chaos in the local waters. The Battle Junk is a new ship that is known for its survivability and ability to keep the enemy’s attention while creating opportunities for your allies.
Among other things, the team announced that after testing, the 5v5 PVP mode is not ready yet. They received a lot of feedback from internal testing and from some members of the community, and decided to delay the release until they can make improvements based on the feedback.
