True Colors in Wuthering Waves is a companion mission for Zhezhi, where you have to support the artist at a court hearing. During the mission, you will conduct research on Minyan and learn about the heroine’s past. Find out the truth about the works of art and find the culprit, so that the artist can eventually realize her old mistakes, overcome her fears and start moving forward.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to complete True Colors in WuWa and find clues in the Exiles’ camp. We’ll explain how to start Zhezhi’s quest, interview all witnesses, examine traces, and destroy monsters in the dungeon.
How to start Zhezhi’s True Colors quest in WuWe
You can open the True Colors quest after a couple of conditions:
Reach Union Level 22 or higher. Complete the quest “Wish Upon the Moon I: Cry of the Soul” in the Patch 1.2 “Tale of Moontree Lodge” event chain.
Once the mission becomes available, travel to the west of Jinzhou to the Pioneer Association, where you will receive a call from Zhezhi.
Use the Great Library (Pioneer Association) teleporter in the southeast of the city. Find Zhezhi talking to the cat and approach her to begin the quest.
Walkthrough of the True Colors quest in Wuthering Waves
Contact the Pioneer Association and meet Zhezhi at the Public Security Bureau to hear about her problem and begin the True Colors mission in WuWe. Find out the truth and help the artist sort out her emotions so she can continue breathing life into her paintings.
Enter the Public Security Bureau with Zhezhi
Go up the stairs to the door and selecting “Enter the Public Security Bureau” will take you inside the building.
In the Bureau, there will be a scene where Zhezhi accuses Minyan of committing fraud and selling counterfeit goods at Shanyun Art Exchange. During this scene, you will be transported to the recent events of the investigation.
Interview witnesses

In the northwest of Tiger’s Maw Mine, ask a couple of people.
Next to Gupan, go up the stairs: on the left you will notice the first witness, Huaijin.
Move towards the north and at the exit of the zone you will see the second person, Jifeng.
After the survey, climb along the western fork and go to the scene of the incident, where you will meet Zhezhi.
Talk to Shilan
Head south along the road and turn back towards the mine to reach its merchant, Shilang.
Study the strange behavior of monsters

Ask Chisyu and the researcher
Further south, you’ll find Chixia discussing something with a researcher. Join their conversation and ask about the incident.
Then, using the option “Examine the painting on the ground”, interact with the scroll lying on the ground.
Talk to the wounded man
Next, return to Zhezhi and begin questioning the wounded Minyan,
Question the witnesses
Afterwards, question several individuals marked with the task mark, who turned out to be accidental witnesses to what happened earlier.
Once you have discussed everything with the artist, enter the studio north of Taoyan Vale.
Examine the evidence in the workshop
In the studio, study all the clues inside the building, then move on to those that remain outside.
Learn about drawing paper

First of all, you need to use the “F” key on the boxes on the right wall from the entrance. In them you will find several suspiciously thin sheets of paper with a discount sticker.
Look at the paintings

Step back to the table and read the notes about Minyan copying Zhezhi’s paintings, which led to her being recruited into the art exchange.
Examine the remaining greenery

Examine the vase fragments on the floor

Study the tracks

Examine the evidence outside the workshop. Go outside and interact with the footprints on the ground to the right.
Go to the Exiles camp and examine the paint
Цель: «Go to the Exile camp. Investigate the pigment».
Once the next dialogue with the artist is over, move to the northwest of Gubei Pass.
Head to the Outcasts camp where you will see pigments that need to be examined as an additional option.
Once the dialogue is over, return to your previous location and eavesdrop on the Exiles. Decide to cooperate with them by talking or engage in battle. The choice you make will lead to the same outcome in either case.
Pretending to be an Exile, talk to one of them at the entrance.
Find the evidence

Reach the hidden Minyan Studio in the camp and fight off a group of monsters.
Leave the area and fight the Exiles. Then you will be transported to the court.
While moving into the dungeon, destroy several enemies.
How to defeat the Grieving Shadow
Defeat Mourning Aix: Lamenting Shadow, who will fire a beam towards the active hero at the start of the fight.
During the battle, it is enough to rely on Zhezhi, whose skills will allow her to hover in the air and dodge the monster’s attacks.
Once you kill the boss, the area inside the painting will gain the previously lost colors, and you will also receive the achievement “Colors Revived”.
Don’t forget to pick up the premium treasure before leaving the dungeon.
After the trial, talk to the artist waiting near the Bureau.
Use the northeastern teleporter of the city and go down to the floor below it, where you will visit Minyan and return the girl’s paintings.
After a separate conversation with Zhezhi, examine the letter from the artist on the bench. Once the scroll “Serenity of Xiehua Village” is added to your inventory, you will unlock the achievement “Preserve the True Colors” and the mission will be completed.
Achievement Colors Revived
Condition: «Clear Ashened Gallery».
The Colors Revived achievement in Wuthering Waves is unlocked after defeating the boss in Zhezhi’s dungeon in the True Colors quest. The 10 Astrid achievement is located on the Exploration: Huanglong page.
Achievement Preserve the True Colors
Condition: «Complete True Colors».
The Preserve the True Colors achievement in Wuthering Waves is awarded after completing the True Colors quest and reading the letter left by Zhezhi on the bench. The achievement is in the Journey: Moments with You category and is worth 10 Astrit.
