Gigabyte Technology is preparing to expand its GeForce RTX 4070 line of graphics cards with four new models. This became known from the online database of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). The vendor is preparing WindForce V2 modifications equipped with cooling systems with two and three fans, including versions with and without factory overclocking.
According to foreign colleagues, the new GeForce RTX 4070 in Gigabyte’s version will most likely be equipped with GDDR6 chips. According to available information, GeForce RTX 4070 video cards with GDDR6 memory should go on sale before the end of this month. That is, the registration of new Gigabyte models in the EEC database coincides with the expected release.
The GeForce RTX 4070 GDDR6 will be based on a graphics processor labeled Nvidia AD104-251. It will inherit the configuration from the AD104-250 chip used in the original GeForce RTX 4070, and the main difference lies in the bandwidth of the video buffer: 480 GB / s versus 504 GB / s for the version with GDDR6X memory. The difference in performance between the two versions of the GeForce RTX 4070 should be small, however, we should wait for independent tests here.
