After announcing the new free games for August on Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft is strengthening its partnership with Dovetail Games by accompanying the reveal of Train Sim World 5 with the confirmation that the railway simulator will be coming to the catalog of the green-cross subscription service on day one.
The partnership with the Redmond company is celebrated by the English developers themselves in the announcement video of the next, ambitious chapter in the Train Sim World series. The title promises to make us face even more demanding challenges and play new roles along the routes already known by fans, to which three other interactive routes will be added with kilometers of tracks, switches and realistic signs.
The beating heart of the new Dovetail project will be represented by the many types of trains to drive and the infinite number of controls to master to become perfect train drivers. To the delight of enthusiasts there will also be room for the Train Conductor Mode, a function that will allow users to check tickets, manage doors and ensure the safety of passengers on any train service. There will also be innovations in gameplay and content such as Photo Mode, the Creators Club with its customization tools and the Live Map to observe any route from above.
Train Sim World 5 is scheduled to launch on September 17 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with immediate entry to the Game Pass library.
