Motorola Brand Introduces Smartphone in India Moto G45 on a 5G-enabled chip with three bright color options and a modest price tag of around $150.
The Moto G45 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chip — the same platform with a 2.3 GHz processor that powers the older Moto G85. The Moto G45 comes with 4 or 8 GB of RAM and a storage capacity of only 128 GB, but it can be expanded with a microSD card in a hybrid slot. The smartphone has a 6.5-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution, but it supports refresh rates up to 120 Hz. It has a hole-punch for a 16-megapixel camera and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The back panel houses a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
The Moto G45’s signature feature is its range of vibrant colors. Motorola has once again partnered with Pantone to offer the smartphone in Brilliant Blue, Brilliant Green, and Viva Magenta, the latter of which Pantone named the color of 2023. All three variants feature a vegan leather back panel and an NFC module. The Moto G45’s battery capacity is 5,000 mAh; it comes with a 20W TurboPower charger. Android 14 is the OS, and the manufacturer has promised a minimum of pre-installed software. Finally, there is an FM radio and a 3.5 mm jack, which are still popular in India. The Moto G45 in the 4/128 GB configuration is priced at INR 10,999 ($130), while the 8/128 GB version is priced at $155. Sales of the smartphone will start on August 28.
