In recent days, insider billbil-kun revealed the price of Until Dawn Remake, the game will be released on October 4, 2024 at a list price of 60 euros in Europe… a price that players really didn’t like and that is generating numerous discussions.
In fact, Until Dawn Remake costs the same as Astro Bot, which is a new game. Silent Hill 2 Remake also sells for 60 euros in Europe and comes out a few days after Until Dawn, however many point the finger at the price point of the Sony game, considering it excessive.
Additionally, there is no discounted upgrade program for those who own the game on PlayStation 4, so even those who already own Until Dawn will have to repurchase it at full price if they want to enjoy the remake’s improvements.
The community’s opinion is that Sony was wrong to price Until Dawn Remake like Astro Bot, since in the first case we are talking about a re-release while in the second of a new game. A lower price point, perhaps set at 49.99 euros (like The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered) would certainly have been appreciated by players but evidently the publisher considered a list price of 60 euros correct. And what do you think: is Until Dawn Remake really too expensive or is the price right?
