The Resident Evil series boasts many main chapters, which far exceed ten if you also consider the remakes of the first four, and just as many spin-offs, from Gun Survivor to Revelations. In this long list, however, Resident Evil Outbreak stands out for being the first of the series to be structured to also guarantee an online gaming experience, as well as delving into the spread of the T-Virus in Raccoon City.
Set between the second and third installments of Resident Evil, Outbreak provides a more detailed analysis of what happened in the city and shows previously unseen scenes of the virus’s spread through the eyes of characters never met before. Among them is Alyssa Ashcroft, a very capable journalist for the Raccoon Press, extremely confident and ready to take great risks at the cost of discovering the truth.
In fact, throughout her career following the outbreak of the virus, she has tried in every way to unmask the Umbrella Corporation and its connection to the myriad of zombies born following exposure and monstrous creatures that can be considered biological weapons in all respects. Even before that, however, in 1993, she had gone to the Arklay Mountains to investigate a pharmaceutical company that had conducted illegal experiments on patients in a hospital.
A fascinating character, relegated to Resident Evil Outbreak but that the passionate Valentine Oliana, already seen in the role of Jill Valentine, wanted to pay homage to with the simple cosplay of which you can find some photos at the bottom of the page. Finally, we remember that Resident Evil Village has reached 10 million copies sold, a record for Capcom’s survival horror series.
