Eurogamer reports that a number of Rocksteady Studios employees have been laid off in the past month, with the QA department reduced from 33 people to 15. Departments outside of QA have also been affected.
According to Eurogamer, this “restructuring” is directly related to the poor sales of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League after the game’s release. There has been an admission from Rocksteady Studios’ senior management that the quality of their product will now suffer after the “restructuring” took place.
Eurogamer also quoted a Rocksteady Studios employee who said on social media that she had been laid off despite being on maternity leave.
Although some of the laid-off employees are junior employees, some of them have been with Rocksteady Studios for more than 5 years.
In June 2024, Bloomberg reported that a large number of Rocksteady Studios employees were currently developing Hogwarts Legacy Director’s Cut and planned to submit a new single-player game proposal to Warner Bros. Games.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League sudah tersedia di PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, dan PC (Steam, Epic Games Store).
