The long-awaited Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7 with new endings is officially available on PC! Larian Studios announced the news in a post on Twitter/X accompanied by a list of improvements and optimizations made in the latest major update of the RPG masterpiece.
“Are you ready to embrace evil? Do you want to see the consequences of the actions of your inner devil?”, the Belgian studio asks jokingly before going into the merits of the many changes made to the blockbuster RPG, starting obviously with the addition of new endings with evil alignment and the introduction of specific cutscenes that conclude the narrative path traced by those who want to explore the ‘darkest areas’ of the plot and the lore of the Forgotten Realms.
The changes made by Larian Studios are such that the European developers are politely asking users to uninstall the game on PC and download it again: despite the 11.6 GB of data to download, in fact, the installation process requires a good 160 GB of free space since it involves the entire database of Baldur’s Gate 3 files already downloaded to the disk.
The Belgian team also confirms that this will be the last ‘Major Update’ for BG3, although further minor patches are planned such as those affecting crossplay and Photo Mode along with the always welcome corrections and adjustments. With the huge list of improvements and additions brought by Patch 7 (you can find it by opening the link at the bottom of the news) comes an important clarification regarding the launch timing on Mac OS, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, with Larian studios promising to bring the last major update of BG3 to the remaining platforms in October. In the meantime, Larian is already looking to the future and intends to even outdo itself after Baldur’s Gate 3.
