First details on Genshin Impact benefits for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers revealed.
The online role-playing game Genshin Impact will be released on November 20th for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass.
But why was the Xbox Game Pass explicitly mentioned? Genshin Impact is a free-to-play game.
The Xbox version will of course also be free to play. You also don’t need Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Core to use the online co-op function. The developer revealed this to Windows Central.
Anyone who owns Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will receive in-game bundles at release and after later updates, it goes on to say. How extensive these will be and whether, for example, only materials, currencies or even characters will be found in them is not known at this point.
It has also been confirmed that Genshin Impact will be playable via Xbox Cloud Gaming. This means that players on Xbox One can at least play this way as well.
A spokesperson for HoyoVerse explained: “Genshin Impact is a free-to-play game. You do not need to purchase Game Pass Ultimate or Core to play the game in co-op mode. Players with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription will be able to receive in-game bundles and play Genshin Impact via Xbox Cloud Gaming at the game’s launch and after subsequent version updates.”
