Honor showed the MagicPad 2 tablet computer at the IFA 2024 exhibition in Berlin, which is positioned as an alternative to the iPad Pro. It has all the data for this: an elegant case, a large high-quality screen and powerful filling. Earlier, the new product was presented in China, and now the global version has been announced.
Honor MagicPad 2 is powered by a lightweight flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor with Adreno 735 graphics, 12 GB of RAM and a built-in 256 GB drive. On the back panel there is a 13-megapixel camera (f / 2.0), and on the front panel there is a 9-megapixel camera (f / 2.2), which is on top when the computer is in a horizontal position. Among the strong points, the manufacturer also notes the thin 5.8 mm case of the device. The OLED display has a diagonal of 12.3 mm, a resolution of 3K and a refresh rate of 144 Hz.
For comfortable typing, an external keyboard called Smart Bluetooth Keyboard can work with Honor MagicPad 2. It connects to the tablet via Bluetooth; its most important advantage is the mechanical switches of the “chiclet” type, with which typing becomes really comfortable.
Another useful accessory is the Magic Pencil 3 stylus, which, according to Engadget, is quite convenient to use, but the magnets that hold it in place at the top of the tablet are too strong. An inattentive user may end up attaching the stylus in the wrong place, and it may stop working at the most inopportune moment.
The battery capacity is an impressive 10,050 mAh, which should last more than a day, although the exact result will depend on the intensity of the load. The Honor MagicPad 2 will go on sale for €599.
