The launch trailer for Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown catapults us into the atmosphere of the open world driving game developed by KT Racing, which has the ambitious goal of relaunching a historic brand.
The video, a mix of live action and in-game graphics, shows a wealthy man and woman preparing to go out in their cars, an Aston Martin and a Lamborghini respectively, before meeting up in the street and racing.
Once the cars drive off, within seconds the live footage is replaced by the graphics of Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown, which appear to have been significantly improved compared to the demo from a few months ago, both in terms of models and special effects.
Should we get out and push it?
In the last few hours, users have found themselves discussing the minimum requirements for Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown, which seem a bit excessive and give the feeling of a rather heavy game to run, especially when aiming for higher resolutions and a truly fluid and constant frame rate.
If you recall, a few weeks ago we tried the demo of Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown and found ourselves faced with a very demanding experience on PC, unable to reach 60 frames per second despite a quality that at the time seemed anything but exciting to us.
However, if in the meantime the developers have managed to improve the technical side of the game so significantly, then all the better: we will find out how things really are on September 12 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
