This week, Sony will reveal the new PS4 and PS5 games for September that will be added to the library reserved for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers. Here’s when the announcement is scheduled.
As usual, we point out that there is no “official” date set in stone, but Sony is structured and rigid with the schedule of its flagship service, with the Extra and Premium titles that, with very rare exceptions, are presented on the Wednesday following the publication of the “free” titles of the Essential tier. Consequently, the date to circle on your calendar is September 11, at 5:30 PM Italian time.
When will the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games be available?
The new PS4 and PS5 games will be available to members over the next week, starting on the morning of Tuesday, September 17, after the PlayStation Store routine refresh that usually happens between 10:00 and 11:00. As a reminder, the service will also be saying goodbye to a number of titles on the same day, including Horizon Forbidden West.
The protagonist of The Pluck Squire inside a 3D level
One of the new additions coming to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in September has already been confirmed in recent weeks and it is really very interesting. It is The Plucky Squire, which will be included in the subscription from launch. We are talking about an action adventure that alternates seamlessly between 2D gameplay sequences inside illustrated books, cups and other objects and 3D ones set in a child’s room full of toys.
Of course, it won’t be the only addition, but the rest of the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium lineup for September is still shrouded in mystery at the moment. We’ll just have to wait for the announcement scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
