After around two years, Nintendo announced that no further regular updates are planned for “Splatoon 3”. The announcement was widely expected, as a similar approach was taken with the predecessor.
However, we can still look forward to returning themes in “Splatoon 3”, such as Splatoween, Frosty Fest, Spring Fest and Summer Nights. Big Run, Eggstra Work and monthly challenges will also be around for a while. Smaller updates could of course also appear if they are needed.
It is still unclear what will happen to the “Splatoon” franchise. However, it is generally assumed that there will be a fourth installment for the Switch successor.
“Splatoon 3” was released on September 9, 2022 exclusively for Switch.
