The first test of “Silent Hill 2 Remake” is ready before the official release. Is it the hit you were hoping for or a big flop?
As the release of the new edition of the survival horror game “Silent Hill 2” approaches ever more quickly, many fans are wondering whether the high expectations can actually be met.
Many of them are hoping for nothing less than an absolute masterpiece. It remains to be seen whether Konami and developer Bloober Team have actually achieved this feat. But the first official test at least gives a clue.
How good is the Silent Hill 2 remake?
Published before anyone else the renowned magazine Famitsū from Japan a review of “Silent Hill 2 Remake”. In the latest weekly issue you can read a detailed review that lists all the strengths and weaknesses of the horror game remake. Overall it gets a rating of 35 – with a maximum of 40 points. The individual ratings consist of one 8 and three 9s.
As the test report shows, developer Bloober Team did an excellent job, especially with the graphics and soundscape of “Silent Hill 2 Remake”. This would create an intense horror factor that would immediately captivate players.
According to the Famitsu editors, the new edition of the survival horror game from Konami offers a playing time of around 16 to 18 hours. This is how much time fans should allow to play through the scary adventure from start to finish. However, how quickly the big finale actually flickers across the screen will depend primarily on your personal playing style.
