Fans of Atlus games have been waiting for the announcement of a full-fledged new part of the Persona series for several years now. Over the past 2 years, the developers have released a remake of Persona 3, and some previously released parts have made it to Xbox consoles. If we take a completely new project in the series, then it can be called Persona 5 Tactica, which is an experimental spin-off to the main series.
There have been rumors about Persona 6 for a long time, and the famous leaker Midori revealed new information that he has. According to him, the project is already close to release. He said that Persona 6 has moved on to the localization stage, and the core development team is concentrating on developing DLC for the game. The insider doesn’t know when to expect the announcement of Persona 6, but there are suggestions that it could happen in December at The Game Awards.
Note that about 8 months ago, another well-known insider, HeadOnTheBlock, said that Persona 6 was 95% complete and would be released in 2025. He also indicated that the game is planned to have long-term support through DLC for 2-3 years.
