A group of Russian modders from the Revolution Team presented a story trailer for GTA: Vice City Nextgen Edition, a fan remaster of the Rockstar Games crime thriller based on the Rage engine from GTA IV.
The two-minute video, also available for viewing on VK, shows updated graphics with a selection of story scenes, including a new episode with a flashback to events before the start of the game.
Users were delighted with the new trailer for GTA: Vice City Nextgen Edition, appreciating the efforts and dedication of the modding team. “This is a true Definitive Edition for VC!” – says EngineeredFemale.
Revolution Team announced that development of GTA: Vice City Nextgen Edition is 95% complete. The modification is still planned for release in December, but “there is a small chance that the project’s release will shift to January 2025”.
According to the authors, they are doing everything possible to release the mod in 2024. The team is conducting final tests, fixing bugs, promising to add indoor lighting and release a gameplay trailer (soon).
“We want to immediately release the most efficient version of the mod, so that we don’t have to fix errors with patches later… We hope for your support and understanding, we have very little time to wait!” — assured the Revolution Team.
GTA: Vice City was released in 2003, and in 2021 received an official remaster as part of the collection Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. Fans criticized the re-release – Rockstar is still correcting it.
