Publisher Bethesda Softworks and developers from Bethesda Game Studios announced a new achievement for their space role-playing game Starfield, as well as the release of a fresh patch for the project.
As it became known, by now the Starfield audience has grown to 15 million people, which is 1 million more than it was in mid-June. It is worth noting that the indicator does not equal sales, because the game is also available in the Game Pass subscription.
For comparison: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, released in 2011, the space version of which was called Starfield before release, reached 20 million copies sold in 19 months. 14 and a half months have passed since the premiere of Starfield.
To celebrate reaching 15 million players, Bethesda will give all Starfield owners a Deimog all-terrain vehicle and the quest “The Perfect Recipe.” They can be found in the Creations store.
As for the patch, in version 1.14.74 they implemented one of the most popular features among fans – using “Creations” released through the affiliate program will no longer disable receiving achievements.
In addition, the update increased the performance and stability of Starfield on all platforms, returned the unlimited frame rate option on Xbox Series X, and fixed a number of gameplay bugs and errors in quests.
Starfield was released in September 2023 on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X, S and Game Pass, and 12 months later received the Shattered Space add-on. The base game has “mixed” reviews on Steam, while the add-on has “mostly negative” reviews.
