The large-scale fantasy role-playing game Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous from Owlcat Games has received the promised final content patch. Along with it, the project also acquired a new edition.
One of the main features of update 2.5.0y was a large-scale reworking of the mythical path of the golden dragon, which Owlcat Games talked about in a previous publication (see details here).
Otherwise, 2.5.0y fixes a number of gameplay and technical issues in the main game and expansions. A full list of changes can be found on the Steam website (caution: spoilers), and we will point out some notable innovations:
- players who remained in the festival area without the opportunity to leave will be transferred to the global map;
- the ash giants have become stronger;
- the developers have added to the battle with the Faceless Sphinx “some changes”;
- the game will no longer freeze when moving to another location if there was a character in the party who died with the Disintegration effect active, or when trying to load Drezen after completing the Dance of the Masks add-on;
- Valestrius, Master of the Steps in Razmir’s Palace, finally remembered his own name.
Along with 2.5.0y, Owlcat Games also released a Game of the Year Edition for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous on Steam – taking into account a 10 percent discount, the purchase will cost 1,349 rubles.
Game of the Year Edition includes all paid and free add-ons, except for “Guests from Morta” (which can be activated separately), and is no different from the Enhanced Edition set with all add-ons.
“We will continue to work on fixing bugs. There will be some high-quality improvements to the game in the near future, but we do not plan to add any more new content.”,” Owlcat Games confirmed once again.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous was released in September 2021 on PC (Steam, GOG, EGS), and in the fall of 2022 it reached PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch (“cloud”). The game received six expansions and sold over 1 million copies.
