As promised, on November 21, the open-world action-adventure Star Wars Outlaws from Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment reached Steam and received the largest patch in its history, as well as the first story addition.
Star Wars Outlaws is available on Steam for $70 for the Standard Edition, $110 for the Gold Edition, and $130 for the Ultimate Edition, but all three bundles are 25 percent off through December 5th. The game is not available in Russia.
The Steam version of Star Wars Outlaws is equipped with Denuvo protection, has integration with Ubisoft Connect (that is, it requires a connection to a Ubisoft account to play) and text translation into Russian.
The developers, led by new creative director Drew Rechner, call the patch 1.4.0 that accompanied the release of Star Wars Outlaws on Steam the largest in the short history of the game.
The update abandoned mandatory stealth in almost all missions, improved facial animations, improved the AI of enemies, added vulnerable points to them, and expanded the list of situations where you can carry a two-handed weapon.
As for the add-on, the story add-on is called Wild Card and offers to join forces with Lando Calrissian to enter the sabacc tournament. The DLC is included in the game’s season pass (part of the premium editions).
Star Wars Outlaws was released on August 30 on PC (Ubisoft Connect, EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. The game earned 75-76% from critics and disappointed Ubisoft with sales. The company hopes that major updates and a release on Steam will help improve the situation.
