The post-apocalyptic open-world shooter STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl from GSC Game World has not even been released yet, but has already received a huge update almost the size of the game itself.
Let us remind you that the Xbox version of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl became available for pre-download on November 13 – the game required 146 GB. Following this, a hefty 16 GB patch was released for the shooter.
As those who pre-loaded STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl on Xbox now report, the day before release the game received another update, significantly larger than the previous one – its size is 138.9 GB.
In other words, those who pre-downloaded STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl on Xbox will essentially have to download the game again – the patch replaces existing files, and does not “pull up” 139 GB of new ones.
Thus, according to user SpookyCarnage on the Reddit forum, after installing a large-scale update, the total size of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl was reduced from 146 to 143.9 GB.
Earlier it became known that some buyers gained access to STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl ahead of time: users began to publish unboxing of the retail edition, screenshots and gameplay of the release version of the game.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be released on November 20 on PC (Steam, GOG, EGS, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X and S, as well as Game Pass. The first reviews of the game will appear just two hours before the official release.
