Developers from the German studio Grimlore Games (SpellForce 3) told us what to expect in the mythological role-playing action game Titan Quest 2 at the start of early access, and what they are not going to add to the game in principle.
So, for example, the other day the Titan Quest 2 page on Steam has undergone some changes: the mention of all supported languages except English has disappeared, as well as the note about the presence of multiplayer.
As the developers explained in a separate publication, this was done to avoid confusion: references to functions and languages that will appear in the full version of Titan Quest 2, but not at the start of early access, were removed from the game page.
“Multiplayer and support for additional languages (German, French, Spanish, Russian, Polish, Korean, Japanese, Chinese) will be added to the game during Early Access or when version 1.0 is released.”the authors assured.
Meanwhile, the PCGamesN portal, citing a statement from Grimlore Games, reports that neither at the start, nor during, nor after early access, loot boxes or pay-to-win mechanics will be added to Titan Quest 2.
“We actively despise it. There will never be a monetization element in the game that encourages you to spend money on any gameplay related item to give someone else an advantage.”– assured the studio.
Early access for Titan Quest 2 will start this winter on Steam, and the full version will also appear on PS5, Xbox Series X and S. After release, Grimlore Games plans to release add-ons and “cosmetic” items.
