Google has announced the winners of the 2024 Google Play’s Best awards in the US, which recognize this year’s most outstanding apps, games and books across a variety of categories. “This year’s awards don’t just showcase amazing apps, games and books; This is a shout out to the talented developers who make the Android ecosystem so vibrant, creating fantastic apps and games for all your devices.”says the Google blog.

Google noted that Google Play in 2024 has become more than just an app store. In an effort to support developers, the company “improved accessibility, expanded gaming capabilities, increased creator rewards and ensured timely delivery of content”. Google said it hopes developers and publishers will continue to help people discover new apps, games and books – wherever they are, on any device.
The event planning platform Partiful was named the best app of 2024. It is recognized as the best application “thanks to an intuitive design and a new approach to creating invitations”. The app’s built-in Party Genie tool helps you quickly design invitations and offers potential attendees a quick way to confirm their participation with a simple link.
Fantasy RPG AFK Journey has been named the best game of 2024 on Google Play thanks to its extensive character roster and fun tactical combat system. During the award ceremony it was noted that “The vast explorable world and beautiful art style also set it apart from its peers.”
Max was named Best Multiplatform App due to its extensive library of TV shows, movies and original content, and the ability to continue watching on multiple devices. The application provides maximum viewing convenience regardless of the user’s location and the device he is using.
Clash of Clans won the Best Multiplatform Game category. Although the game has been around for over a decade, its popularity has increased this year with its deployment on PCs and Chromebooks. “Now mobile classics are optimized for wherever you play, however you want to play, whether it’s on your phone, foldable tablet, Chromebook or PC.”says the Google blog.

- “The best for every day”: MacroFactor – Macro Tracker;
- “Best Hidden Treasure”: Timeleft;
- “Best for Watches”: Baby Daybook – Newborn Tracker;
- “Best for Big Screens”: Infinite Painter;
- “Best of Google TV”: Peacock TV: Stream TV & Movies;
- “Best of Cars”: PBS KIDS Video.

- “Best Indie Game”: Yes, Your Grace;
- “Best Story”: Solo Leveling: Arise;

- “Best of Play Pass”: Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance;
- “Best of Google Play Games on PC”: Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures.
