There are still a couple of days left before the release of the post-apocalyptic open-world shooter STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, but some players seem to have already gained access to the new project from the GSC Game World studio.
The Twisted Voxel portal noticed that screenshots and videos of the release version of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, recorded on the Xbox Series X console, began to spread across the Internet.
Apparently, some STALKER 2 buyers received their copies ahead of time: YouTuber Jan ek has already published an unboxing of the retail edition of the game, and user X under the nickname Cobblerx3 showed 12 seconds of gameplay.
In addition, a selection of several screenshots of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl was published on the Reddit forum. The frames are not of good quality – the images are photographs of a TV screen with the game running.
Following the leak, the first reviews about the game appeared – mainly about its technical condition. Jan ek and user OrfeasDourvas from Reddit report that there is no stable 60 fps on the Xbox Series X, but the situation is partially saved by VRR.
According to Jan ek, a hefty (16 GB) patch was already available for the game last Friday. At the same time, the blogger admits that another update may be prepared for the release of GSC Game World.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be released on November 20 on PC (Steam, GOG, EGS, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X and S, as well as Game Pass. The final system requirements for the game, presented the other day, turned out to have a catch.
