Less than half of the games in this year’s TOP 10 according to Metacritic were released on Xbox.

Review aggregators like Metacritic and Opencritic let you know which games have received the highest scores from reviewers throughout the year. They collect game reviews from major publications, and then form ratings for games and large-scale DLCs.

As 2024 draws to a close, it’s time to see which games were the most highly rated this year. Only 4 of the TOP 10 most critically acclaimed games were released on Xbox consoles. The TOP 10 itself looks like this:

Also on this list is the game Satisfactory, which is currently not available on Xbox consoles, but the authors have already confirmed that it will be released on consoles when version 1.0 is released.
