This week, December 6th, the multiplayer action game Marvel Rivals comes out. The game is shareware, that is, the maximum number of users can try it. During an interview for the Playstation blog, the developers explained how the project will work.
According to NetEasy representatives, Marvel Rivals should maintain stable performance on all platforms. They note that for them this was the main criterion when choosing the technical parameters of a shooter. As a result, the game will receive 1440p at 60 FPS on Playstation 5. Support for Lumen Global Illumination and Chaos Destruction from Unreal Engine 5 is announced.
Marvel Rivals also notes that a 120 FPS mode will be available on consoles for those players looking for an even smoother competitive experience. The resolution in this mode was not specified.
Since the interview was long ago for the Playstation blog, details about the versions for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S were not provided. You can probably expect similar settings to the Playstation 5 on the older Xbox console, and on the Xbox Series S, the Marvel Rivals beta ran at 900p-1080p at 60 FPS (with occasional drops in frame rate).
As for the Playstation 5 Pro version of Marvel Rivals, it will be able to offer 4K at 60 FPS and will also feature Lumen Reflection technology, in addition to Lumen Global Illumination.
