The developers of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl continue to actively release updates. Less than 2 weeks have passed since the release of the project, and the third update has already been prepared – 1.0.3. While the first update fixed over 650 bugs and was large-scale, the second update was aimed at fixing some problems in missions. As for update 1.0.3, it makes the following changes and improvements:
- Fixed crashes and slowdowns that were caused by memory leaks in a number of cases.
- Keyboard and mouse controls have been adjusted, including the default sensitivity values being updated. Note that the game supports mouse and keyboard input on Xbox Series X consoles | S.
- Fixed about a dozen problems in the main and side missions. Since some of these edits contain spoilers, you can check them out in the full patch notes on Steam if you wish.
- Fixed an issue where mutants’ bodies would stretch after being fired from automatic weapons.
- NPCs should no longer block passage in the Back to the Slag Heap mission.
- Fixed an issue where players would lose saves after hard rebooting their Xbox.
Update 1.0.3 for STALKER 2 is already available on PC via Steam, and will soon be released on Xbox Series X | S and PC for the Microsoft Store, including the version from Game Pass.
