Russian publisher and developer Astrum Entertainment presented a futuristic team-based PvPvE first-person shooter Ncore. The announcement was accompanied by a gameplay teaser and the first screenshots.
The events of Ncore will unfold in the world of the future, where corporations that have risen to power are engaged in an endless arms race. Against the backdrop of endless crises, a forgotten form of entertainment is being revived – gladiatorial battles.
Players will fight in a high-tech arena – the Hexadrome – in an ever-changing environment: from medieval castles and trenches of the First World War to the zombie apocalypse in modern America.
As part of the battles, teams of three gladiators try to hand over as many tokens as possible to special terminals. They are awarded for defeating bosses and other players, participating in events, and defending special zones.
The winner is the side that has the most tokens at the end of four rounds. In this case, instead of surrendering, chips can be used, for example, to lure an enemy into a trap.
They promise dynamic battles using transformable weapons, the ability to regroup in the Underworld after dying in a match, graphics on Unreal Engine 5, support for Russian and English languages.
Ncore will launch in 2025 on PC and will be distributed as a free-to-play model. You can sign up to volunteer for future alpha testing through the project’s official website.
