The Thing: Remastered has been released, an updated version of the game The Thing, which was first released in 2002. The remaster was developed by Nightdive and is already available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Switch and PC. You can purchase it for $29.99.
The Thing: Remastered features significantly updated graphics, some gameplay improvements, and many other changes. The developers themselves say that they have created “practically a new game.”
How The Thing: Remastered works on Xbox
The first tests of The Thing: Remastered on Xbox have appeared. The game works as follows on Microsoft consoles:
- Xbox Series X (test). 4K resolution at stable 60 FPS. There is a 120 FPS option, in which the frame rate sometimes drops by 3-5 per second.
- Xbox Series S (test). 1080p resolution at stable 60 FPS. There is a 120 FPS mode, in which the frame rate varies from 110 to 120 per second.
- Xbox One (test). Resolution from 900p to 1080p while aiming for 60 FPS. The game runs at an unstable frame rate of 45 to 55 per second.
- Xbox One X (test). 4K resolution at 55-60 FPS.
As part of the test, there was also a bug in all versions except Xbox Series X, when FPS dropped to 0.
