The game MechWarrior 5: Clans, which was released this fall and immediately found itself in Game Pass, recently received its first major paid DLC – Trials of War. In the $19.99 add-on, the developers added modes that were not in the main game. This decision was criticized by many players, who decided that the Piranha Games studio simply cut out some of the content from the main game in order to sell it separately, including to Game Pass subscribers.
The developers from Piranha Games admitted that the decision to make the Trials of War DLC paid for the game MechWarrior 5: Clans was a mistake. Now anyone can pick it up for free on any platform, including Xbox consoles (link to Microsoft Store).
The following content is available in the Trials of War DLC:
- PvP mode “Arena” with 10 unique maps.
- Co-op mode “Horde”.
- 12 powerful Omnimech variants.
MechWarrior 5: Clans did not perform well on Xbox Series X upon release | S. The developers partially corrected the problems with subsequent patches.
