The VK company, in a press release on its official website, reported on the popularity of the Russian application store RuStore among Chinese game developers throughout 2024.
As it became known, during the period from January to November 2024, Chinese developers through the VK Advertising platform spent more than 60 million rubles on promoting their applications in RuStore.
Advertising spending by Chinese developers in the third quarter increased fivefold compared to the first. Games in the strategy and RPG genres were the most actively promoted, while entertainment was the leader among applications in other categories.
Director of Business Development at RuStore Ilya Ulyanov noted that Chinese game publishers are most interested in monetization and advertising to attract new paying users.
According to Ulyanov, RuStore strives to provide the necessary infrastructure for the adaptation and promotion of foreign projects on the Russian market. The store already features more than 45 thousand games and applications from developers from 40 countries.
“The platform’s algorithms allow advertisers to show ads to those users who are most likely to subscribe, add items to the cart, or complete a purchase within the mobile application from RuStore.”– noted in VK.
RuStore was launched in May 2022 and is intended for devices based on Android, Harmony OS and Aurora OS. In November, the State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill on installing a store application on the iPhone.
