Publisher Critical Reflex and Estonian developer Mike Klubnika announced the addition of Buckshot Roulette to the first-person horror game “one of the most anticipated options” and the game reaching a new peak in sales.
Let’s remember that Buckshot Roulette debuted at the end of December 2023 on the itch.io platform, and two weeks after the April release on Steam it reached a million copies sold. The second million was won by the game in July.
As it became known, over the past five months, the audience of Buckshot Roulette has doubled – total sales of the game have already exceeded 4 million copies. Now the team is aimed “double that number again, no matter how much effort it takes”.
“We want to thank each of you for participating in our dance between life and death and for leading Buckshot Roulette to 4,000,000 sales. Our dream of making a million four-person lobbies is now possible!” — the authors shared.
Regarding adding “one of the most anticipated options”then the Buckshot Roulette multiplayer for four people, which debuted on October 31, finally added a player selection system and a browser for public lobbies.
“With it, you can dance between life and death with people around the world, without resorting to outdated methods like finding friends or joining Discord.”,” Critical Reflex emphasized.
Buckshot Roulette players must challenge the otherworldly dealer to three rounds of Russian roulette with a 12-gauge shotgun. On Steam, the project has earned 67 thousand “extremely positive” reviews (the rating is 96%).
