Following the premiere at the OTK Winter Games Expo, publisher Owlcat Games and Polish studio Another Angle Games presented another gameplay trailer for the turn-based role-playing game Shadow of the Road.

Let us remind you that the events of Shadow of the Road will unfold in the surroundings of feudal Japan with elements of magic and steampunk. Players will challenge magical youkai and deadly steam engines.
The new trailer for Shadow of the Road (embedded below) invites viewers to immerse themselves in the mysterious and fascinating world of yokai – supernatural creatures woven into the rich universe of the game.
Whomever you meet in Shadow of the Road
According to Owlcat Games, youkai in Shadow of the Road blur the line between friend and foe. Some of them act as guardians of the game’s heroes, while others pose formidable challenges.
In particular, users will be able to control these supernatural creatures and turn their incredible abilities against enemies – the trailer showed how the heroes turn into youkai, dealing with enemies in this form.
In the story, in 1898, Japan found itself at a crossroads between historical heritage and the relentless march of progress. The head of the shogun’s spies instructs the ronin Satoru and Akira to protect a boy in whom powerful, uncontrollable magic lies dormant.
Shadow of the Road is being created for PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store) and has no release date. They promise the opportunity to assemble a squad of unique characters, classic turn-based battles with a samurai accent, and translation into Russian.
