Elden Ring director and FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki recently insisted that he was not working on Elden Ring 2, and he did not lie: at The Game Awards 2024 show, the studio presented a branch of the acclaimed game.
The project is called Elden Ring Nightreign and is an independent cooperative action game with RPG and survival elements. The announcement was accompanied by a three-minute gameplay trailer (the video is attached below).
Elden Ring Nightreign will invite players to team up with other users, engage in battle with the dangers lurking in the night and defeat the merciless threat that looms over the lands.
They promise a co-op mode for three people, new gameplay elements, an environment that changes with each game session, heroes with unique skills, formidable opponents and “the majestic boss of this night”.
The release of Elden Ring Nightreign is expected during 2025 in versions for PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. Russian language support has not (yet) been announced.
