4 Microsoft Gaming games were nominated for various awards at The Game Awards 2024:
- Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
- Diablo IV
- Age of Mythology: Retold
As a result, only one project from this list was able to win awards – this is Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 from Ninja Theory. The studio won in 2 categories: “Best Acting” (performed by the main character Melina Jurgens) and “Best Audio Design”.
Also successful in the “Best Adaptation” category was the Fallout series, which is based on the Microsoft franchise, but was produced by Amazon in collaboration with Bethesda.
Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer took to social media to congratulate the teams and individuals who achieved success at The Game Awards:
Congratulations to Melina Jurgens, Ninja Theory, Bethesda Studios, Kilter Films and Amazon Prime Video for their wins at The Game Awards, as well as all the other winners and nominees. We look forward to the release of The Outer Worlds 2 from Obsidian Entertainment in 2025.
Obsidian’s RPG The Outer Worlds 2 was the only unreleased Microsoft Gaming game shown at The Game Awards.
