As 2024 ends, the gaming industry experiences a lull for several weeks. This also applies to Game Pass, which will not receive any new games this year unless something unexpected happens.
This week, the Game Pass subscription was replenished with the latest games for December: For the King II was added to the service immediately after its release on Xbox and Hunt: Showdown 1896 with the release of an update and a limited-time event in collaboration with Post Malone. Also at the very beginning of the week, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and the game Wildfrost were released for subscription. These games are the last to be released on Game Pass for 2024.
In a note with Game Pass news for December on the official Xbox Wire website, the Microsoft Gaming team indicated that a second wave of new products should not be expected this month. Now the announcement of new games for Game Pass will take place only in January.
Note that we already know about the games that will leave the Game Pass subscription in December, both in the middle of the month and at the end. You can view this list here.
In December, 7 games were added to Game Pass Ultimate, 3 more games were added to the Standard tier, and 3 games were added to the Core tier. At the same time, 13 projects will leave Game Pass in December.
