Valve has presented the official list of nominees for the 2024 Steam Award, which users of the digital service chose during the recent autumn sale.

The “Game of the Year” category includes third-person shooter Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, co-op action game Helldivers 2, roguelike Balatro, first-person shooter STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl and action role-playing game Black Myth: Wukong.
Voting in all categories will begin with the start of the Steam Winter Sale – December 19 at 21:00 Moscow time – and end on December 31 at 21:00 Moscow time. The winners will be announced when the voting ends.

Valve would like to remind you that games can only win in two categories – Game of the Year/VR Game of the Year and one other – but the Steam Awards 2024 finalists list breaks this rule (repeatedly).
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, Black Myth: Wukong, Balatro and Helldivers 2 are mentioned in three categories (Game of the Year and two more), and Hades II, a remake of Silent Hill 2 and Satisfactory – in two (outside Game of the Year) ).
