Last October, Blizzard became part of Microsoft Gaming. The company has undergone major changes since that moment: they cut a significant number of employees, appointed Joanna Faris as president, and canceled Project Odyssey. The Blizzard team presented the results of the first year as part of Xbox, and also published a message from its new president.
Results of Blizzard’s first year as part of Xbox
- Total time in games. Players spent 8.34 billion hours playing Blizzard games per year. This is 952.055 years.
- Communication via Battle Net. Over 378 million messages were sent via Battle Net.
- World of Warcraft. 4.5 billion spiders and nerubians killed.
- Warcraft Rumble. Over 400 million Cenarion family miniatures played.
- Diablo 4. Players have killed over 1.7 trillion demons.
- Diablo Immortal. Over 480 million times heroes have died.
- Overwatch. Players have spent over 203 years playing the new Clash maps.
