A continuation of the Killzone series of sci-fi shooters from Guerrilla Games is not on the horizon and is not expected, but a crossover in the cooperative action game Helldivers 2 can serve as a small consolation for fans.

Following a recent leak, developers from Arrowhead Game Studios announced the launch of the first crossover in the history of Helldivers 2 – thematic content based on the shooter Killzone 2, released in 2009 on PS3, appeared in the game store.
According to Arrowhead Game Studios, the Helldivers 2 and Killzone 2 crossover belongs to a new category of special premium content reserved for such collaborations and other unique themed works.

Premium content is available at a premium price – a set of crossover items will cost 1,975 Super Credits. They can be earned slowly in the game itself or purchased for real money (2100 units for $20).
An additional reward as part of the crossover will become available to users upon achieving certain successes in the Galactic War, and the second portion of premium items will reach the store on December 23.

Users were outraged by the high cost of the kit – a battle pass (merit) with a large number of rewards costs 1000 super credits. In addition, the themed items will only be available in the store for five days.
Helldivers 2 was released on February 8 on PC (not available on Russian Steam) and PS5. Last week the game received a major update, Omens of Tyranny, with the Enlightened faction.
