A group of Russian modders from the Revolution Team presented a new trailer for GTA: Vice City Nextgen Edition, a fan remaster of the Rockstar Games crime thriller based on the Rage engine from GTA IV.
The three-minute video, available for viewing on YouTube (see player below) and VK, demonstrates the indoor lighting previously promised by the developers, which was not present in previous builds of the mod.
Throughout the trailer, the creators of GTA: Vice City Nextgen Edition show the same scenes with different lighting – new and old. The difference between the two options is visible to the naked eye.
Despite some rough edges, the demonstration of the new lighting for GTA: Vice City Nextgen Edition delighted viewers. “I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to (this mod). A dream come true”,” shared ElVicioMan.
It was previously reported that the release of GTA: Vice City Nextgen Edition is planned for December, but “there is a small chance” postponement to January 2025. The new trailer lists the current winter as the premiere date.
Apparently, we won’t have to wait long for the announcement of the exact release date for GTA: Vice City Nextgen Edition. Revolution Team assures: “The work is in full swing, expect news from us soon”.
As of the end of November, development of GTA: Vice City Nextgen Edition is 95% complete. The team conducts final tests, fixes emerging bugs and strives to “immediately release the most efficient version of the mod”.
