As promised, on December 19, the traditionally large-scale winter sale started on the Steam digital distribution service. Simultaneously with the promotion, voting for the finalists of the annual Steam Award began.

According to Valve, the Steam Winter Sale includes so many discounts that it won’t end until next year. The scale of the promotion even temporarily caused interruptions in the SteamDB service, which allows you to track price declines.
Following the summer and fall Steam sales, the winter sale now includes a “Big Discounts” section with especially great deals on “some of the best games of all time”. For example, Divinity: Original Sin 2 for 70 rubles (−90%).

As for the finalists of the Steam Awards 2024, you can vote for them on a special page. Valve unveiled the list of nominees in 11 categories this week, but there were some misunderstandings.
The Steam Winter Sale will end on January 2, 2025 at 21:00 Moscow time. Voting for the Steam Award 2024 nominees will end on January 31 at 21:00 (also Moscow time) – the winners will be announced at the same time.
Users also have access to themed items in the store for points, and as of yesterday, Steam results for 2024 were open. The personalized page will dive gamers into their gaming history over the past 12 months.
