The Russian cloud services market is growing; in 2024 it will reach a record 165 billion rubles. The market leader at the end of the year for the first time was the Cloud.ru provider, one of the top largest IT companies in Russia. According to the iKS-Consulting report, the company increased its market share from 21.8% to 28.9%, taking first place in the ranking.

This spring, the provider launched its own flagship platform, Cloud.ru Evolution. The public cloud brings together more than 20 services: virtual machines, disks, storage, tools for development, big data processing, launching ML solutions and Managed Kubernetes.
Distinctive features of Cloud.ru Evolution:
Import independence. The platform is a public cloud built on its own developments and open source components: for example, PostgreSQL and Kubernetes. Cloud.ru Evolution is completely developed in Russia and uses server capacities located in the country – all this together eliminates the risk that any components will become unavailable.
Convenient interface in Russian. The entry threshold for users is minimal: having access to the platform, you can literally activate the necessary tool in just two clicks: for example, launch a virtual machine or deploy PostgreSQL clusters. The platform provides monitoring tools for each service, supports separation of roles, contains tours and clear guides for non-technical specialists.
Start from 0 rubles. The company launched the Evolution free tier in March 2024, which now includes a virtual machine for testing applications with two vCPUs, 4 GB of RAM and 30 GB of NVMe storage, as well as object storage where you can securely store mail, documents and media up to 15 GB. For registration, new users receive 4,000 bonus rubles, which can be used to pay for other services.
Availability. The platform operates on a Pay-as-you-go model; both companies and individuals can use Cloud.ru Evolution – with no restrictions on tools or capacity. Legal entities can register on their own; moderation takes place quickly.
Safety. The infrastructure is located in secure Tier III data centers, which guarantees non-stop operation of all capacities and compliance with the requirements of 152-FZ. The platform also has the highest level of certification for the security of personal data.
The platform’s tools are useful for both small development teams and large federal-level IT companies. In the cloud, you can test and verify hypotheses, develop cloud-native applications, transfer traditional applications to the cloud, and analyze data.
