The developers of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl released a major update yesterday, December 19th. After it, the game received version 1.1, and the update itself fixed over 1800 problems, improved optimization and broke saves for some players. A few hours later, another update was released – 1.1.1, which, as stated, fixed the problem with saves.
Now the authors of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl have released a new update, the third in the last 2 days. This is update number 1.1.2, it fixes several more problems that arose after version 1.1.
Changes in update 1.1.2 for STALKER 2
- Fixed some issues with shader compilation hanging, resulting in an infinite timeout or crash.
- Fixed errors with loading saves.
- Fixed a crash that occurred when exiting the game.
- Added a save backup feature that will be saved automatically and stored for 4 days (PC only).
Xbox Series X Update Size 1.1.2 | S is 8.46 GB, for PC – 10.41 GB.
Thus, if after update 1.1 players have problems with saves that were not fixed with update 1.1.1, then version 1.1.2 should fix them.
Previously, the authors of STALKER 2 announced that at the beginning of 2025 they would share a roadmap with information about new content.
