STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl was released on November 20 on Xbox Series X | S and PC. It received good reception from players and critics, but for many the experience with the game was marred by many bugs, errors and optimization issues. The developers have released several updates in recent weeks, and the latest major update for 2024 became available this week.
The creators of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl published an appeal to players on their social networks before the holidays:
Stalkers! We have released a major major patch 1.1 for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Our studio time between release and the Christmas holidays has been dedicated to improving your experience in the game. We hope many of you will take the time to start, continue, or finish STALKER 2 during the holidays.
Before the New Year, we would like to share our plans for 2025:
- We will continue updating STALKER 2 next year.
- We’ll be ready to share a roadmap of new content for the game in early 2025.
- The next-gen patch for console versions of STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy will be released next year. We know that you have asked us to update the PC versions of the original STALKER games, and we are planning to do this too.
See you next year!
Let us remind you that the developers of STALKER 2 plan to release 2 DLCs, multiplayer and mod support for the game.
