Metacritic is the most famous review aggregator, which collects reviews from many world publications and forms an overall rating of games based on them. They compiled a list of the 10 worst games of 2024 based on the following criteria:
- The project was released from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024.
- The list could include not only games for PC and consoles, but also mobile releases, plus projects for VR.
- DLC and collections were also among the contenders.
- For a project to be included in the rating, it must have at least 4 reviews from professional critics.
- If one game has different ratings on several platforms, then the version with the lowest rating is included in the list.

- Stranger Things VR (44 – Quest)
- Transformers: Galactic Trials (45 – Playstation 5)
- PO’ed: Definitive Edition (46 – PC)
- Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports (47 – Playstation 5)
- Metal Slug Attack Reloaded (48 – Nintendo Switch)
Note that many of the listed projects were not released on Xbox consoles.
