At the beginning of November 2024, the game Slitterhead was released. This is the first project of the Bokeh Game studio, which was founded by Keiichiro Toyama, who gained fame for creating the Silent Hill, Siren and Gravity Rush franchises.
Slitterhead was moderately received by critics and is now available to try for free on Xbox consoles as part of a demo. It appears that Bokeh Game studio has no plans to develop the project in terms of new content or DLC, since Toyama himself is already working on a new project.
In an interview with 4Gamer about plans for 2025, Toyama stated that he will be working on a new game:
After the release of our studio’s first game, Slitterhead, I thought I could take a little break. But instead, it seems like I’ve only gotten busier. We have begun preparations for our next project. I also feel a sense of accomplishment after the game’s release that I haven’t felt in a long time.
On Steam, the game Slitterhead has “Very Positive” reviews, but there are about 700 of them. Many people praise the game for its atmosphere and style, but criticize it for its monotony and artificially prolonged passage.
