At the end of 2023, SEGA announced a “new era” for its classic projects. They announced that they are once again taking on the development of games based on several popular franchises, including Jet Set Radio.
Previously, insiders reported that two games based on the Jet Set Radio series were in development. One of them is a full-fledged remake of the first part (its screenshots and gameplay videos were previously leaked online). The second is some kind of service game, there are no details about it.
We can expect more details about Jet Set Radio in 2025, as SEGA’s Ryuta Ueda and Masayoshi Kikuchi hinted at in their plans for next year for 4Gamer. They recalled that in 2025 the first Jet Set Radio turns 25, and the developers are “thinking about how to celebrate this” together with the players.
Previously, insiders reported that a remake of Jet Set Radio could be released as early as 2026. Several previously leaked screenshots from it can be seen below.
