In 2024, many interesting new products were released – both from Xbox studios and from third-party publishers. But new products rarely take first place in the TOP by the number of players per year – most often there are free-to-play projects and games with huge audiences that have proven themselves in past years.
Trueachievements published the TOP 100 games by number of players in the Xbox ecosystem for 2024. They analyzed collected data from 2.4 million Xbox accounts. The most interesting moments from their TOP:
- The first places remained with Minecraft, Call of Duty, Fortnite and GTA V, which were firmly located there.
- The biggest new release of the year on Xbox in terms of player numbers is Palworld, which was added to Game Pass upon release.
- The game Fallout 4 managed to get into the TOP 10, taking 9th position. In many ways, the success of the series led to this.
- Forza Horizon 5 remains in the top ten, having lost only 2 positions compared to last year.
- The game XDefiant, closed by Ubisoft, ended up in 22nd place in the TOP 100.
- You won’t be able to find Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II on the list – it didn’t make it into the top hundred.
- Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, released at the end of the year, managed to climb to 32nd place. Slightly higher is STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
